
YMCA Summer Camp | Alamance County Community YMCA
Give your child a summer filled with adventure, creativity, and lifelong memories at the Alamance County YMCA Summer Camps. Our camps focus on building character, friendships, and new skills in a safe, active environment.
Summer Camp Options:
- Camp Horizons (Rising 1st – 6th Grade) | At ACYMCA
- This camp is for rising 1st grade through 6th graders. A typical day at Horizons includes sports in the gym, arts, and crafts, swimming in our indoor pool, outdoor play at the city park, and more.
- Camp Frontier (Rising 1st – 8th Grade) | Snow Camp
- This camp is for rising 1st - rising 8th graders. This is a more traditional outdoor camp, with activities including canoeing, hiking trails, swimming in the outdoor pool, archery, fishing, tennis, arts and crafts, sports, and more.
- Kinder Camp | NEW (Starting Kindergarten in August 2025)
- Kinder Camp is for campers starting Kindergarten in August 2025. Campers will participate in developmentally appropriate activities for their age group. Activities will include arts and crafts, STEM, outdoor play, swimming, and social emotional learning. Space is limited.
- Sports Camps (Ages 6-14) | Camp Horizons or Camp Frontier
- Focused sports training and games — details coming soon.
- Leaders in Training (LIT) | Rising 9th & 10th Grade
- For teenagers (rising 9th-grade and 10th-graders) and is designed to provide opportunities to develop and sharpen leadership skills. This is a perfect opportunity to grow as a leader, observe counselors, work with children, and become exposed to employment for the first time. Requires completion of the application process.
