Fun, Friends, Fitness - All in One Place
Join us for water aerobics classes and aqua fitness workouts that provide a low-impact, high-energy way to stay fit. Our group classes include deep water exercise and shallow water workouts, perfect for improving flexibility, strength, and endurance.
We provide the best structured group swim lessons, led by qualified, trained, and fun instructors. Our programs foster skill development in a supportive environment, building confidence while improving technique and endurance. Here’s what you need to know
When you arrive for your visit
- Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes before the start of your class.
- Please come with only 1 viewer for your visit; the fewer people the better.
- Please only come to class if your swimmer is 100% healthy. If they are feeling even a little "under the weather", stay home. If your swimmer or anyone is your house is showing signs of illness, DO NOT COME TO SWIM CLASS.
Looking for a personalized way to learn how to swim? Our Private & Semi-Private Swim lessons at the YMCA offer one-on-one instruction tailored to your skill level. Whether you're just starting or refining your strokes, our certified swim instructors provide a structured, supportive environment to help you gain confidence in the water.

PRIVATE SWIM LESSON POLICIES:
- Private lessons are 30 minutes per lesson.
- Registrations may be waitlisted if no instructor is available at the time of registration.
- Payment will be due after being assigned an instructor and may be paid at the front desk or online.
- Private lesson fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and are valid for 6 months after purchase.
SCHEDULING POLICIES:
- You will be contacted by your instructor after one has been assigned to schedule lessons.
- If you are unable to attend a scheduled lesson and do not inform your instructor 12 hours prior to the lesson, that lesson cannot be made-up and will be marked as 'completed'.
For competitive swimmers, the YBAC Hurricanes Swim Team offers training and meets throughout the year, helping swimmers develop discipline, endurance, and teamwork.

Become a certified lifeguard through our American Red Cross Lifeguard Course, designed for individuals looking to gain lifesaving skills and professional certification. The course and the job require hard work, determination, and above-average maturity. Participants will gain confidence, improve their decision-making, and build customer service skills.

Knowing how to stay safe in and around water is essential. Our YMCA Water Safety Programs teach drowning prevention, survival swimming skills, and basic rescue techniques, helping individuals of all ages become safer, more confident swimmers.
