You will also be introduced to our programs, classes, and machines, and become acquainted with our trained Healthy Living Staff.
A personal trainer is a great way to start a fitness program for youth, adults, or seniors. Motivation and accountability are at the core of personal training. Certified trainers will design a plan to help you achieve maximum results and will stand beside you along the way, encouraging you and helping you stay on track. For more information, please download our updated Personal Training Flyer or call our front desk (336.395.9622).
Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring
Are you or someone you know battling high blood pressure (hypertension)?
The Alamance County YMCA is launching its first cohort of Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring in December 2023!
The Y designed the Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring program to help adults lower hypertension and manage their blood pressure. The four-month program focuses on regulated home self-monitoring of one’s blood pressure using proper measuring techniques, individualized support, and nutrition education for better blood pressure management.
With the support from a trained Healthy Heart Ambassador, participants:
• Measure and record their blood pressure at least two times per month
• Attend two personalized consultations per month
• Attend monthly nutrition education seminars
