Water safety is a critical part of our mission. In 2024, we provided life-saving swim lessons to 585 children and trained 105 lifeguards to ensure pools and open water are safe for everyone. Through these efforts, we're equipping our community with skills that save lives.

From summer camps to afterschool programs and sports leagues, we reached over 2,000 young people last year. These programs offer more than just fun—they build confidence, teamwork, and a sense of belonging. With 796 kids enjoying Summer Day Camp and 1106 participating in youth sports, our YMCA is a place where youth grow into their best selves.

Thanks to 204 volunteers and 423 generous donors, we provided over $100,000 in financial assistance. We also served 60,121 meals through our Food Access Program, supporting 1,865 youth facing food insecurity. This is the power of neighbors helping neighbors—and the heart of the Y’s mission. Together, we’re building a healthier, more connected Alamance County. And we’re just getting started.
