Youth Swim Lessons

Please Click Here for Swim Lesson Dates for Winter and Spring 2012.

At the Y, we believe the ability to swim is a critical life skill for every child and teen. In swim lessons, we use a variety of fun methods to help kids overcome fears, build confidence in the water and develop skills that last a lifetime. Qualified instructors meet kids at their own level, help families set achievable goals and celebrate all successes. By educating and partnering with parents, we’re determined to prevent drowning in our community.

Parent / Child Swim Lessons (6 months to 36 months) – This program is designed for toddlers and their parents.  The objective is to help the parent and the child become comfortable in the water.

  • Classes are held on Saturdays from 10:15 AM – 10:45 AM

Beginner Swim Lesson – Students will learn skills progressions which build the foundation for swimming the front crawl and the elementary backstroke.  These progressions include gliding, floating, kicking and treading water.  Students will advance to the next level after mastering these skill progressions.  Our class size is one instructor for every 5 swimmers.
