Overview
For generations, the YMCA has been known for its commitment to family life. YMCA programs and services have grown and adapted to the changing needs of families. We understand that working parents need help managing the demands of a career and raising a family, and we are here to help. It is our goal to provide an After School Program that makes parents feel comfortable and confident. We believe that every child deserves a fun and safe place to go with people who care about them.

Our YMCA After School Program strives to provide the very best quality of childcare. We offer programs for children in grades Kindergarten through Middle School. We have 3 program sites: the YMCA, Middle School Navigators (also held at the YMCA) and Pleasant Grove Elementary. We are committed to putting Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Program Sites

YMCA
We pick up children from the following schools and transport them to the YMCA After School site:
Burlington Christian Academy
Grove Park
Hillcrest
Smith
River Mill
Alexander Wilson
E.M. Holt
Highland
Elon Elementary
Blessed Sacrament

Navigators
We pick up children from the following schools and transport them to the YMCA for the Middle School-After School site:
Western
Turrentine
River Mill
Burlington Christian Academy
Southern

Pleasant Grove Elementary
We operate an off-site After School site at Pleasant Grove Elementary for students at that school.
