YMCA Golf Academy     

Program Overview
Need to improve your golf game? Never played before? Come visit our new state-of-the-art golf academy! Both private and group lessons are available. Classes will be held in the golf center located beside the pool.

Class Descriptions
Level One- All Ages (Beginning Golfers)
-Introduction to rules and etiquette
-Introduction to basic equipment
-Develop basic grip, aim and set-up
-Develop basic putting and chipping skills

Level Two- All Ages (Developing Golfers)
-Reinforcement of the rules and etiquette
-Emphasis on fundamentals
-Develop basic swing concept
-Chipping and putting advancement

Level Three- All Ages (Advanced Golfers)
-Introduces game play and scoring
-Offers more thorough, detailed and swing specific instruction
-Short game specific instruction
-Tailored for players with aspirations of competitive golf

Group Lesons
$72 per session for members
$78 per session for program participants
Sessions include 4 one-hour classes.
Classes will be determined by age groups as well as skill level.

Individual Lessons
$52 per lesson for members
$59 per lesson for non-members
Lessons are one hour.

Instructor Information
Mike Long is our golf instructor. Mike has been a PGA member for 15 years and has been teaching the game for more than 20 years.
