Join our fluid and functional water fitness classes! Water activities provide stretching and movements to tone and strengthen muscles, increase flexibility and build aerobic endurance.
Benefits of Water Exercise
Society's aging population and interest in low impact exercise has increased the popularity of aqua fitness. Water exercise has proven to be valuable therapy for rehabilitation, post surgery exercise or injury recovery. The water provides a comfortable environment for participants with special needs. Exercise in shallow or deep water eliminates impact and protects joints.
-You do not need to be a swimmer to participate in water aerobics.
-The water provides a natural body massage.
-Each individual can work at their own pace.
-Helps improve posture and relieve stress.
Benefits of Land Exercise
If getting wet is not for you, then land exercise is the way to go! You will receive the same benefits as water...toning and strengthening muscles while improving endurance, balance and overall health- not to mention the fun of exercising to exciting music with great friends!
Water Exercise Classes
Introduction to Water Exercise: An information class designed for those who need extra attentioin. Work with an instructor to discover water movements that will assist you with daily living activities. Offered by appointment.
Hearts @ Work: A low impact, shallow water exercise class moving from low to moderate intensity. Stretch and tone and range of motions exercises increase flexibility, strengthen muscles and improve balance. A good program for achieving relief from pain of Arthritis and Fibromyalgia. From water walking to using a variety of water equipment while exercising, the classes are designed to improve physical and functional fitness. Participants are encouraged to work at their own pace. Come, have fun in the water, socialize with friends and keep your Hearts @ Work!
Classes Offered: Mon & Wed from 2pm-3pm; Tues & Thurs from 10:30am-11:30am
Land Exercise Classes
FAB (Flexibility and Balance): Functional flexibility, balance and coordination activities designed especially for the older adult. All levels are welcome.
Classes Offered: Tues & Thurs from 9:10am-10am
Other Fitness Offerings
Motivations Fitness Room Orientation: For $25 you will receive one-on-one instruction on the usage of the cardio equipment and strength training equipment located in the Motivations Fitness Room. Basic fitness guidelines included.
Offered by appointment.
Personal Training: Offered by appointment for $30 per hour.

Class Registration Information
Registratioin will be handled by Twin Lakes Staff in the Communications Room. Registration is required monthly.
Class Fees: $25 per month will give you access to 2 water exercise classes OR 2 land exercise classes per week. $40 per month for husband/wife couples who take classes together.
First time visit is complimentary.
