New Guest Policy Effective April 1st, 2010
Our number one priority is to serve our members who have made a commitment to the YMCA by joining. The purpose behind our Guest Policy is to enhance member services to current members who are encouraging a friend to join and make reasonable accommodations for members of other YMCAs traveling in our area.
· Members 18 and older may prearrange with a YMCA Administrative Staff Member a guest pass for a potential member or out-of-town guest. Potential members may visit a maximum of 2 times or at the discretion of an Administrator. Out-of-town guests may pay a daily guest fee while in town visiting a YMCA member. Out-of-town guests may visit a maximum of 5 times or at the discretion of an administrator. An approved signed guest pass must be presented at the time of the guest’s visit. Staff should initial and put an expiration date on the guest pass (best practice would be one month).
· All guests must be accompanied by a sponsoring YMCA member, fill out a Potential Member Information Card, sign the waiver and be registered at the Welcome Desk prior to entering any member area.
· Guests who are members of another YMCA located within 50 miles of the Alamance County Community YMCA will receive a day guest pass for $5 and must show a valid membership card from their YMCA.
· Guests who are members of a YMCA outside a 50-mile radius will receive a day guest pass for free upon showing a valid YMCA membership card with an AWAY sticker. Limit 3 visits per month (after 3 visits, guests will be asked to pay a $5 guest fee for each additional visit).
Guest Fees are (unless otherwise stated above):
15 years and under $5
16 years and older $10
The YMCA can restrict guest usage, hours of usage and area of usage with or without notice to ensure the safety and comfort of members. We highly encourage members to contact the YMCA prior to visiting with a guest to inquire about any guest restrictions due to demands on the facility.
