Karate

Shito Ryu Karate-Do contains elements of karate-jitsu (karate technique) and karate-do.  Karate-Do is the “way” in which a karate student develops not the fighting skills, but the self-confidence and the discipline needed to lead a productive life and become a valuable member of the community.

Where:  Alamance County Community YMCA – Racquetball Court #3
When:

  • Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6:15 – 7:15 PM for ages 6 to 12 years old
  • Tuesdays & Thursdays from 7:30 – 8:30 PM for ages 13 and up

Cost:

  • $25.00 per month for Y Members
  • $35.00 per month for Non-Members
  • $10.00 per month for each additional child in family

Registration is the first Tuesday of each month.  An orientation with the Karate instructor is required before registration and participation in class.

Camp Frontier Pool

Our Camp Frontier Pool opens Saturday, May 26th!  The Camp Frontier Pool Facility is FREE for all YMCA Members.  Seasonal and Daily Passes are available for non-members.  For more information and pool hours, click here.

Free Akido Demonstration

The Y will offer a FREE Akido Demonstration on Thursday, May 17th at 7:00 PM in the Aerobics Studio.  Adults of all ages and abilities are invited to attend.
