Volunteer Opportunities

At the Alamance County Community YMCA, you will make a connection that counts. The YMCA is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization. By becoming a volunteer, you are joining hundreds of families and individuals of all ages dedicated to strengthening the foundations of our community. Volunteering for the YMCA is fun, rewarding and will give you a sense of belonging. You will make a positive impact in the lives of others.

Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Policy volunteers – People who serve on YMCA boards and committees.  Contact Walter Britt at wbritt@acymca.org for more information on being a policy volunteer
  • Fund-raising volunteers – People who serve in our Annual Giving Campaign and other fundraising events.  Contact Dominique Ireland at direland@acymca.org for more information on how to get involved
  • Program volunteers – People who have direct contact with YMCA members and people in the community. They help the YMCA deliver programs and services.  If you are interested in being a program volunteer, please complete our Employment / Volunteer Application and return to the Welcome Desk at the YMCA.

Camp Frontier Pool

Our Camp Frontier Pool opens Saturday, May 26th!  The Camp Frontier Pool Facility is FREE for all YMCA Members.  Seasonal and Daily Passes are available for non-members.  For more information and pool hours, click here.

Free Akido Demonstration

The Y will offer a FREE Akido Demonstration on Thursday, May 17th at 7:00 PM in the Aerobics Studio.  Adults of all ages and abilities are invited to attend.
