Volunteer Opportunities
At the Alamance County Community YMCA, you will make a connection that counts. The YMCA is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization. By becoming a volunteer, you are joining hundreds of families and individuals of all ages dedicated to strengthening the foundations of our community. Volunteering for the YMCA is fun, rewarding and will give you a sense of belonging. You will make a positive impact in the lives of others.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Policy volunteers – People who serve on YMCA boards and committees. Contact Walter Britt at wbritt@acymca.org for more information on being a policy volunteer
- Fund-raising volunteers – People who serve in our annual We Build People Campaign and other fundraising events. Contact Dominique Ireland at direland@acymca.org for more information on how to get involved
- Program volunteers – People who have direct contact with YMCA members and people in the community. They help the YMCA deliver programs and services. If you are interested in being a program volunteer, please complete our Employment / Volunteer Application and return to the Welcome Desk at the YMCA.
